My First loong ride of 2008 started off with this ride. My earlier ride was 2 days ride, so that doesn't count as a loong ride :P I was really looking forward to meet my Mangalore xbhp friends Zahin and sujay, whom we had met last year during our Ride to calicut. Also, Kemmangundi and Chikmagalur area had eluded me for long, so we decided that this time it's gonna be total offroading ride :P I had done some preparations for the ride, little did i know that this ride would take it's own twists and turns!

Why didn't you come to CCD Meet sir?
feels good to have a few good comrades to ride with, no?
i'm glad the junta we ride with is really great for being who they are :D
Must have been one mindblowing experience buddy.
Great read... cheers.
Its bad to hear about ur accident bro, its good that u had full riding gear. I've ridden through those Kemmangundi roads and I know how the road condition is :D! Never mind, shit happens!
And seeing all those pictures has made me realize how much I miss that Bangalore touch! I wish I was there riding with u guys!!
Keep riding!
Cheerz,
Kam
A memorable trip. Speaks a lot about benefits of group ride.
My greatest discovery was that riding in rain can be a lot of fun. My best ride was on our 2nd day when we left for Mangalore.
Biking through the twisties of Kudremukh with lush greenery all around us and the light delightful drizzle dripping by...it was a perfect tango of the nomads and the roads with the drizzle of the rain providing the soothing music.
Just skimmed by your post...couldn't resist it. A nice write-up...that can be read every now and then to remind us of the nice memories we carry with us.
Keep them coming.
@LJ:
Yeah, it feels good indeed and also an thankful
@Hrishi:
Thanks for dropping by :) It was indeed an experience of a lifetime for me.
@Kam:
Bhai, shit happens as you said and it happens when you least expect it! :( Yeah, Riding gears proved themselves, will be adding a few more gears to the growing list :P
I miss riding with you too :( Hope you come back to bangalore in future :)
@Sunil:
The silent rider of the group :P Glad that the writeup helps you to relieve the memories :) will hopefully keep adding more writeups in future.
Okie...finally you had a fall. Now that was'nt to bad...right?? You should be able to get over your crash-o-phobia :)
BTW, good write-up though.
Surprise visitor eh?
The fall was horrible, even now i can't figure out why/how exactly i fell! I opened my account unwillingly :( I hope there are no more such nasty surprises in future rides.
Thanks for dropping by :P
